Translation increases cross-cultural understanding and provides jobs and careers to a significant number of individuals globally. For Armenia, a program of systematic translation helps tell our story to the world, and makes world culture accessible to a generation of young Armenian students. We propose the establishment of a systematic and coordinated effort to help draw scholars from around the world into the work of translating from and to Armenian.
